Who Wants to Buy a Mac through Retail?
Is there even one reason to buy a Mac through a retail outlet in Hong Kong? Let’s see what you get if you buy retail instead of online,
– Not the newest model
– No free iPod Touch
– No educational discount. Even worse,
– Might not even get the retail price unless one pays cash
So unless one needs a Mac immediately–and mind you, WWDC is tomorrow–it’s almost certainly a better idea to buy online.
That said, if you really need to buy a Mac from retail, here is my very limiting recommendation,
Great – New Vision. Friendly staff and most importantly, there are currently offering the old White MacBook for HK$7000!
Poor – The computer store at the back of Mongkok Computer Center. Not only do they charge the retail price for the old White Macbook–and only when you pay cash–the staff is rude and ignorant. Don’t expect them to enlighten you on what’s new with Mac.

Modelling and shader test. In case you have never read my previous entry, Project n is my personal anime project.

雖然我的專業是經濟學（畢竟都讀到博士了…），但我的對動畫製作的興趣始終濃厚。我正在構想一部以香港警隊一支秘密部隊–暫稱之為n部門–為故事主軸的短片。設定有點像<<攻殼機動隊>>加<<重裝警察>>的樣子。以下是主要角色的初步構想：

姓名：? 年齡：30 職級：高級督察 背景： n部門副主管。在n部門之前任職重案組。空手道黑帶。 |

姓名：? 年齡：28 職級：警司 背景： n部門主管。天資聰穎，十四歲會考九優，同期入選香港柔道代表隊，十八歲牛津法律系畢業後加入香港警隊。二十一歲任高級督察，二十四歲任總督察，最後以二十六歲之齡升任警司。 |

姓名：? 年齡：20 職級：警員 背景：港人在內地所生子女，十九歲來港後加入警隊。曾獲得全國少年散打大賽第五名。 |

姓名：? 年齡：24 職級：高級警員 背景：射擊天才，多個國際射擊比賽的香港代表。原隸屬特別任務連(飛虎隊)。雖打扮入時又玩世不恭在值勤時卻是非常冷靜可靠。 |

註：
1. 起碼會有第五個主角。會是一個老一點的警員，還在構想中。
2. 武器會以飛虎隊採用的為主。構想中n部門的運作是用包括飛虎隊在內的多個警隊部門為掩飾，例如行動中有隊員受傷時就會掩飾為飛虎隊訓練受傷。角色四所穿的並不是飛虎隊常用的所謂的”Level 4″，原因是考慮到n部門的設定不是用來正面攻堅，”Level 4″在行動時只會礙事。這些細節還要多想一點。
3. 角色四的那支PSG-1畫短了。
